WOW is all I can say! I live in Portland and we did get a dry January but we have 100+ base and about 2 feet over the last week. Not trying to rub it in because I wanted to come up th Whistler this year, looks like I will wait until the bike park opens.

House is looking good.

Mark--again not to rub it in but I had an amazing day on Monday at Stevens. Up top was a bit sketch due to poor viz but I'd give the snow quality and coverage a B+. I'd never been there before and I was impressed by properly steep terrain up high (choppy like hell, but fun) and good powder in the trees. It's a small mountain compared to Whistler but if you want to come on down giv'us a call.

Great job on the house!

hey guys, i'm just glad to know it's snowing somewhere. we haven't had the big dumps, but at least there's enough snow to take my dog out for a romp.
any other year i might be bitter, but the house has kept me preoccupied, and you couldn't ask for better construction weather. thanks for the encouragement.
marie - you planning on coming up this way at some point? we're doing an open mic gig at dusty's in march!

Hey. Been reading your blog and its not sounding too good out there. Im from england and coming out to whistler for the first time first week of April! I hope things pick up as heard a lot about whistler. Ill be out first week in april for 11 days. Whats the snow usually like around that time?

Thanks!
Ryan

ryan, april is a crapshoot. we are usually pretty low on snow in the valley by that time, but the upper mountain can be great. during the worst season since i've been out here ('04-'05), april was our snowiest month (197cm). the last two seasons we received just over 100cms for the month. i'd say you have a good chance of getting a couple of powder days, but this season has been a total anomaly. at this point i've given up on hoping for snow and i'm just waiting to get the bike out. hope i'm wrong on that one...
