a noticeable change has occured in the past few days. let's say more seasonably "whistler". we had rain in the valley and freezing levels hit 1600m yesterday. the snow didn't really develop as forecasted - only 4cm over the past 48 hrs. there's a bit more in the forecast, but the freezing levels will be up and down to mid-mountain.
went for a couple of runs today just to stretch the legs. poor visibility, wet snow, and some frozen spots made for generally mediocre conditions. might be a bit better in the alpine but the vis and wind was a deterrent. closest to a "D" day since the start of the season.
